Your build is looking awesome Clayton. I haven’t been keeping up to date on your build so I had some reading to do. I’m as excited for your build as I am mine.
Keep it coming bud

Thank you so much @haanstang ! Your forgiven lol for not keeping up to date ! I am super excited for both our builds , I can’t wait to se them mature and become full blown reef tanks ! Thank you again !

Looking good, Clayton. Wht did you choose to use an ABS bottom rather than just paint the outside bottom of the tank black? It looks good, though!

Thank you very much @Idoc ! I painted the bottom outside white originally to make it like sand. But after some thinking , and after I ordered my BRS Pukani , I got two massive rocks and I figured that the ABS would protect my bottom panel of glass just Incase one of the rocks decided to fall. As well I though it would be best to have a textured bottom to maybe have some corals encrust to it latter down the line .

Btw... an idea for your Profilux... the P4 will control the different light channels in terms of when to turn on/off, % of each color, etc.... so, you can save yourself an extra outlet on your 5.1 bar by actually plugging your lights directly into a wall outlet. I use those same outlet splitters and put directly into a wall outlet freeing up a 5.1 outlet!

Thank you again @Idoc for the tip ! I am planing just to use my P4 to turn off/on my T5 banks . So that I don’t have to use a standard timer lol . My Reeflink takes care of my XR15 Pro’s , so those are not plugged into my Powerbar 5.1. As well I only have two outlets right behind my tank and those already power my Powerbar 5.1 and my other Main Power Tripplite to my tank . So a little limited to outlets lol [emoji38] thank you again @Idoc !

Good to see your back at it. After bleaching you going to do a acid dip? I have done it a few times and it's easy and really cleans out the pores in the rock. The down side is discarding the solution afterwards.

I am glad to be back at it .. @siggy ! Negative I am not going to do a acid dip , I have a pair of little ones at the house and rather not have the harmful chemical in the house , that’s why I opted for bleach. I had over 2000gph with pumps in the trash can , when I had them with bleach so I am hoping it went to all the pores lol.

Nah, looks rubbish, get black sand! ... not, did you seal the edges like a bead seal, looked like it in the pics, just checking!? ;)

Thank you for the input @najer ! I did think about sand but I decided that I want the possibility to putting endless flow in the tank with out blowing sand up ( in case I go SPS dominant latter on ) plus with no sand it’s easier to clean up all the debris as well !

That's is the idea of it lol , I will be posting pictures of it as well soon... lots of pictures to post in proper order . So they will come . The frag tank is made out of 3/8 in glass or 10mm thick glass.

The frag tank , made by me ;)

I had about a total of about 8 of theses exact same pieces of glass. They measure 28x7in tall , so for the the base I siliconed two of them together , to crest a little large foot print.

As well I added a 3rd strip of this same glass on the bottom new panel , to create a better base and seal where the two original panels of glass came together, I siliconed it in place with the silicone dots like Elos , as well as around the perimeter of the 3rd panel of glass to create a solid seal to the bottom 2 original panels.
From there I let the tank cure for about 4 days to a week to allow a proper cure time for the silicone. After that it of time I decided to water test , with some Hydor Nano pumps and a heater.

Water testing lasted about 3-4 days as well. Now time for filtration method .

Drilled to holes for 2 x 1 in bulkheads in the center for the overflow method. Then drilled 1 hole for a 1/2in bulkhead to fit on the left side of the tank for the return line.

Then I was time for plumbing and adding the sump . And water testing , the sump on this is now the sump for my 75g , I have sense then changed my sumps situations.

I will post some most recent pictures soon . I now have a 150w Mh lighting up the tank and the back of the the frag tank is painted black.

Hope it answers your question.

I got confused when I saw you were putting it for sale. This was only about the frag tank.
