Equipment compatibility

Anyone have experience mixing and matching products from different companies? For example, I have current USA Orbit ic marine pro lights with LOOP controller. Was wondering if another brand return pump and/or wave makers would be compatible. Thanks!

I have the same lighting system on one of my tanks. In my experience, you have to stick with their products.

But you raise and interesting idea...

There is nothing smart about their pumps. I wonder if other 3 conductor pumps would work with their controller...
