ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

WaveEngine is in Maryland still being sorted but FedEx has assured me they're making every effort to get it delivered to me by the end of the day today...

Finally, maybe? It says 3:39 am today it left, but at 3:41 it now says delivery delayed but they updated the delivery date to Thursday... I don't know. Hopefully I'll have the WaveEngine Thursday and I can install it Friday afternoon or Saturday.

So do I warn my wife that I have an 8 gallon AIO tank on the way or wait until it shows up?

Wait till one of her PT appts and just slip it in, unnoticed.

I first read that as an 80 gal AIO tank, but my answer would have been the same anyway. Slip it in, unnoticed.

First Hydros controller officially installed permanently!

For those with OCD currently dying, I apologize. The white wire will be tucked away beside the XP8 and likely plugged in with a Reed door switch eventually.

TLDR below: Wiring plan mostly for next Saturday hopefully

The rest of the wires will be moved elsewhere when the hooks we ordered arrive and I get the rest of the Hydros "board" installed on the left wall next to the XP8. We decided trying to get everything shoved into an 8" x 24" spot might be very difficult and would leave no room for future unplanned expansions. Now it's all going on a 30" x 16" hanging wall instead.

Once the hooks are here, I'll install the wall and then start relocating all of the wiring so I can unplug everything once and plug it all back in where it belongs.

Heaters/Inkbird controller on the XP8 for a third layer of heater failure protection.

Power heads on XP8.

Return pump on XP8.

Plank and Sicce on XP8.

R2R light either on XP8 or Smart plug on one of the other strips.

Gyre on WaveEngine on power strip with lights likely.

Lights are all WiFi controlled so they'll be on their own power strip.

ATO on Hydros Wifi strip.

Doser, Betta Tanks, and UV can be anywhere - likely Hydros Wifi strip.

I think I'm going to need to order at least one polishing filter sock to start taking some particulates out of the water - the PolyFil isn't screening super fine particulates very well and my water is getting a little hazy. Maybe I'll do a water change tomorrow and that'll help some.

It will get better, I promise. I was hoping to install the Hydros wall today but got tied up in a couple of meetings. Hopefully there will be time either this evening or tomorrow afternoon otherwise, maybe Saturday.

I left my house at 5 til noon, FedEx dropped my box off at 12:15.

I filled my filter cups with the Sera wool balls and it makes a huge difference for particulate clarity
My delivery driver Garrett is on the way.
Mine's name is Tara, I always know when she's on vacation because suddenly someone other than Tara is delivering my live FedEx boxes. Oddly, our FedEx delivery driver who is not overnight deliveries is someone else entirely, and he's the one who likes to toss them into the woods

Sera Wool. I'll look that up, thanks!

Ok, I got the Hydros wall installed and got the controllers temporarily hanging. I didn't have time to redo the wiring yet so hopefully tomorrow afternoon I can get in there and rewire and finish cleaning everything up and THEN I'll take another picture. I'd take one now but I don't want Jojo's eyeball to twitch anymore than it already is.

I might try some of those wool balls as well!

If both start twitching it becomes a feedback loop and it doesn't stop.
