ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

@tbrown Did this Algae scrubber work? Maybe I get some inspiration again

I designed and printed one for my tiny sump so it would fit in an odd place… after 2 failed 19 hour prints I gave up. 😂😂 all the spent filament i can save it for the next tank build.

If you're wanting a Turf Algae Scrubber, I printed a stair-step design I drew up in TinkerCAD and it worked pretty good.

I designed a similar but larger box for another user on here. It printed really good on my Ender.

Wouldn't take much to move the weirs up almost to the top and make the bottom solid instead of slotted to use for Macros. He was using it for an ATO chamber in a 10 gallon tank with an HOB filter and needed something that wasn't easily affected by surface agitation.

nice!! this is my latest.. I just pseudo made a new compartment to force water through it since the redsea 200 lacks many sump baffles...

My stupid XF330 bracket broke 3 days ago and I've tried reprinting a stronger redesigned version but the print has failed 6 times now. Not sure what is going on with this Bambu... About ready to turn the Ender back on and print it on there. One more redesign I think and loosening up the tension spring screw another quarter turn and hopefully we'll have some success...

Ok, redesign complete but I can't do everything I need to do on my phone. So this afternoon when I'm home from the vet hopefully I can jump on the laptop, finish the design up, open the Bambu again, and reprint.

Alright, printing the fitting for the Bubble Algae Reactor. I have to use the external spool since the AMS Hub is damaged so this is our first try with the external on the P1S.

Why the ER Tim?
See the cut next to her eye? That's why. She jumped on our old lab when she was sleeping and she snapped and caught her. Luckily she missed the eye socket but not by much. Vet said if she went a little deeper or a little closer to the eye she would have likely lost it.

Oh, that had to be scary, so glad it wasn’t worse.

Yep. That was my "Happy Father's Day!" Six hours in the Vet ER waiting before they took blood, then another hour before the doctor took her for sedation and they opened the wound a little bit for better draining and then cleaned it. Another 2 hours for recovery and then she got to come home. Supposed to be 2 weeks in a cone. It lasted 6 hours or so

At least those ER vet visits are cheap! 😉

So the JBJ 1500 (396 gph) is a little (ok, a LOT) overkill for the algae reactor. Back to the MiMouse at 90 gph. Gotta design and print a fitting for that bad boy.
