Hey everyone I am still new to the hobby and got this torch about a month ago and it has been doing really good and it has had these brown spots all over the base and torch. I just saw that there is a thing called Euphyllia-eating flatworms and now I’m worried if they are. Could anyone help me identify if they are or not and If I should dip the torch because I don’t want it to kill my torch.

If you notice in this video one of the brown spots about half way through on some up the upper parts of the torch actually falls off as it’s moving.

Definitely a flatworm, could be planaria. You’ll want to dip that torch. Spots all over also imply you’ll want to do some research. Look at flatworm exit

Spots all over suggest that they’re in the tank. You might be lucky and just have them on the torch- safest thing would be to dip both- watch what comes off. If a lot you’ll want to consider treatment. There are also natural fish options. Lots of people keep them managed with fish.

Not 100% what that is; you’re going to want to dip again in 4-5days; it’s hard to tell where the flesh and ends so I’d monitor the red part and not touch it; if it is below the flesh band I’d consider scraping. (Or if you get an expert ID with contrary advice)

Grainy pic but the pink could be foraminifera. If so should be harmless even if more pop up. Try to find other pics (on coral) for yourself to confirm.
