Hey! A few days ago I made a thread about a frogspawn which sadly died shortly after making the thread. It had 3 huge heads and I had it for about 3 months. When I bought it, I got another small frag for free. It was the same frogspawn just a mini head.

Now the small frogspawn is not opening and has it’s mouth wide open for about a week. It’s a Euphyllia dominant tank and nothing else is showing issues…

I hate the fact the big one died, so I really want to save the small one… In the 3 months since I got it, it has grown a lot!

My phosphates and nitrates were a bit low but I’ve raised them to 15 - 0.1. I feed them LPS pellets but the small one now refuses to eat… I tried giving it more light but it closes up even more.

Does anyone have any idea why these specific frogspawns are bailing out?

Please tell us more about your tank so we can help you.... how old is the tank? What are the parameters? What type of lighting and flow do yo have in the tank? We can't tell just from a picture, we need all the aquarium info to help you.

Alright. It’s a waterbox peninsula 15. Been running for roughly 2 years. I got a AI Prime 16HD on it. Got an AI Axis 15 with a Nero 3. Flow could be considered on the lower side.

I got a total of 14 Euphyllia’s, about 9 heads of candycanes, some GSP, Acans and a zoa garden. Everything else is growing as normal.

These are the parameters except phosphate and nitrate are now a bit higher.
