Hey guys, my frowspawn had two heads come off their base. Any idea why is this happening? Can I save the heads somehow?

Polyp bailout. What are your levels?

Phoasphates are .06. My alk was 6 and calcium 370 a few days ago but I have been dozing to bring those up. Nitrates are 5.

How long have they been in the tank? Frogspawn do not seem to like super high light or flow. Any brown jelly? Picture?

I have had them for about a year. Same light. No brown jelly. They looked happy. Can I do anything with the heads that bailed out ?

Alkalinity shift. I have heard of new skeletal development, but that is the exception. The polyps can look healthy for quite some time though.

Good Luck, hopefully with some time and stable parameters you'll see some regeneration.

Anyway you can post a pic of the coral?
