Evac?

I know we have members in the State of Florida and the area of Key West is under Evacuation anyone from that area?

Peef is from Key Largo I think. Im from Boynton, about a hour or so north of Miami. The coastal areas are under evac, but thats because theyre only like a foot above water level. I just woke up and its pouring down rain, nothing to be worried about

Thats good to know your area is not much in the path

that's crazy... so do you guys just leave your tanks and hope for the best?

I dont know how they do it honestly. My house is only 3 yrs old and we have storm shutters, so thered be no reason for us to leave. We have a generator too so even if the power comes off, Id be able to run the pumps and lights for some of the day, and all the time on battery-powered pumps.

hahah winter thou is bad, there could easy be a power outtage at any time thou once i move into the house i plan on buying a big generator just in case

I hope the storm leaves you soon and dumps the remainder here in GA. My yard is pretty brown.

i live in tampa which i guess is a maybe on the projected path. it doesnt seem bad at all though. so no worries.
i do have two battery opperated pumps though should the power go out... my fishes will still be okay.
even if it gets to a cat 1 or whatever its not bad. lots of rain and some wind like paintballer said but nothing serious. just one of those stay inside play games be cozy lazy day.

right now the its supposed to come over a little east of tampa. 60 mph winds right now. not hurrican strength yet. but i know that ft laud miami is getting lots of rain and wind right now.

Its supposed to have hit land, in the Keys. Doubt itll be a hurricane. West coast/middle of FL is going to get the most of it. Im on the East Coast and its not even raining for the last like 3 hours haha.

Doesnt matter, as long as our great powerlines dont go out, Ill survive.

im 2 hours north of miami and its only been drizzling all day
a little rain here and there but not that much

If at all possible this late in the game I would suggest those in these storm likely places go out and get a generator. God Bless you, we are praying for you.

I'm in Sarasota it's about a hour south of Tampa. I live in a 70ish year old wood frame house about two blocks from Sarasota bay. I will be at my house tomorrow and I'm not too worried about this little storm. It's no worse than a good Texas thunder storm (I'm from Texas). I don't expect any real problems. :)
