Hi all! I recently added a scoly to my tank and woke up yesterday morning to a strange fish-shaped blob on top of it. I blew it off with a blaster and noticed mesenterial filaments coming from the scoly.

Coincidentally, my purple firefish is missing. The firefish lived under a rock just a few inches from where I placed the scoly so I'm wondering if he got trapped overnight. I noticed that my cleaner shrimp get his feelers stuck on the scoly when he's feeding so I'm guessing the scoly is pretty sticky when feeding.

Anyone ever have a scoly catch a fish??

I had a scoly digest a baby maxima clam but not a fish. It's possible as the scoly is piscivorus. Could've happened at night, the fish swam or darted just right and ended up in the feeder tentacles. There pretty sticky. Sorry for the loss.

Your Scoly is enjoying this new home and wanted me to pass along this message: "Please restock the Firefish before next Tuesday."

Thanks

It definitely happens
