Hi all,

I have a bleeding apple scoly which was doing great for the past month and a half. It was eating fine. Its sitting in the middle of the tank where the PAR hitting it is about 150 or less and indirect flow. Just recently I noticed it developing pale streak marks, sort of a white sheen on it. Overall the coral is puffed and is not receded. I tried feeding it the other day and I didnt bite.

My overall PAR in the dt is not more than 180 at peak. I dont see any fish picking at it when observing.

I've been having the same problem with a trachy, it's looking very pale but no recession or tissue lost. Its been like that for over two months.

Water parameters:
Salinity: 1.025
Calcium: 460
Mag: 1395
Alk: 7.8 at the moment [ive been battering a swing of about 2 points]
Phos: .04
Nitrate: 14.7
Temp: 78.2 stable with a chiller

I submitted for an ICP test and few trace elements are low such as iodine, manganese and a few other.

Any thoughts?

**UPDATE**

The trachy is still looking pale and no signs of progress, but holding on. No visible recesion or damage. In the other hand, the scoly is taking a turn for the worse. It now looks shrivled (sort of wrinkly) and pale.

Tropic Marin suggested some new product they have called 'Reef Pills.' I received two packets one marked 'Week1' and the second one 'Week2' with some pills in them. The problem is that I don't know which pill is which as they are not labeled so I can dose what they recommended from the ICP test. Since I cannot find instructions anywhere, I'm wondering if I should dump 'Week1' pills in the tank. Otherwise, for dosing the exact amount they suggest, I cant figure that out withou labels on the pills.

I'm steering to using Xepta Trace Plus+ (available in Europe) so that I at least try and replenish some of those trace elements and see it that's the issue with the with the trachy and the scoly, as everything else is doing fine in the dt. I've calculated using good old ChaptGPT that 1.3ml of Xepta Trace Plus+ daily for my 133 liters total tank volume, will replenish and hold the values Tropic Marin suggested

Since I only have two pump heads avalable in my dosing system, I'm wondering what would you guys recommend for a single solution or two solution trace elements. I See Red Sea has Trace Colors A+B+C+D but I don't have 4 pump heads avalaible and I need to dose automatically as I from time to time leave the dt alone for a week or two. Any suggestions?

From the Tropic Marin ICP test, most of the trace elements are low or non-existent. Attached is the ICP test result.
