I see threads popping up all over with people needed various help with the controller and
decided that we should put all we know about connecting and operating the controller under one thread as to avoid confusion.
Lets start with the first thing we need to do when we get the controller:
1)binding the controller to the lights
this is a video made by Reef2Reef member @LowLi and it explains the basic linking of the controller to the lights.
With the light solid red:
A)hold the button on the light till it turns solid blue
B)then press the button once so that the solid blue blinks blue
C)use the H button on the controller to transmit the signal

Now it is time to dial or lights in by editing some pre-programmed setting that are it the controller:
2)Lets start by looking at a modification of the AB+ spectrum done by @MSB123 and @dantimdad . This is a very good schedule as to give coral the rite amount of each spectrum. I had to lower the intensity for my tank as it was to much par but that is the beauty of this, because the light can easily be adjusted to your tank.

^^^^Please keep the above in mind when setting your own schedule.^^^^
Her is another video done by @LowLi that shows how easy it is to modify the schedule to fit our needs. Please remember that the newer lights last time point has to be at 23:59 or you may have an error.

It has come to my attention that not all of them have to have the last data point set to 23:59

If you received your light in December or before, this seems to be the case.

The best way to know is if you are having issues having the programming take, make sure the last data point is set to 23:59.

We will be gathering more information to make this light easier to use. Please refer back to this thread with questions about programming so others can learn as well.

I’m having an issue with the controller’s dial knob. When trying to set the numbers, it jumps all over the place. Could go from 10 to 40 to 00 while I’m rotating the knob. Is my controller defective or is this just a quirk of an inexpensive controller?

It is really touchy. just turn real slow and you will be fine.

Still can't get mine to work, has the SPS Timer Error every time. Confirming this will only work in automatic mode if the times exactly match the videos? That is crazy...why have a customizable light that only works if the lights are on primarily while I am at work? Sigh...

I think the end time has to be 23:59 or we get an error until we get @noopsyche to get a patch to fix it.
@noopsyche can you respond here when you will have a patch to take care of the 23:59 error? We need this taken care of ASAP! @alpinestar has had this issue and nobody seems to care except me and I feel helpless because I am powerless to get him the new code he needs for the controller.

Yeah, tech support is non existent for these products. This person doesn’t speak English and is using google translate. That’s fine in itself, but they’re doing a terrible job of it. Very unprofessional. My lights won’t run the program I set and the Noopsyche rep is sending me links to R2R posts. Not good. I’m about to return these things to the Coral Reef.
The remote also is a joke. The wheel is super touchy and the batter doesn’t last maybe a day at best so it basically has to remain plugged in. lol a corded remote in 2019. I’m actually thinking my Vipar Spectra was a better buy.

If your schedule is
1 01:00 0% all
2 03:15 0% all
3 10:00 10%, 25% 25% 25% 10%
4 14:00 25% 50% 50% 50% 25%
5 18:00 25 50 50 50 25
6 20:00 25 50 50 50 25
7 23:59 0 0 1 0 0
So, your time on 10:00 o'clock is 25%, it will from 03:15 gradual change to 25%. We have 7 time point, actually more than 7 time point that people can see, it will change slowly.
In the time 1-7, the light setting output brightness parameters of the two time points are different, and the system will automatically assign 100 copies to increase or decrease the brightness.
2. 03:15 0% all
3. 10:00 10%, 25% 25% 25% 10%
From 3:15 to 10:00, the system automatically increases the brightness by 100 parts until (10:00 10%, 25% 25% 25% 10%)
6. 20:00 25 50 50 50 25
7. 23:59 0 0 1 0 0
20:00 by 25 50 50 50 25 brightness 100 copies down to 23:59 0 0 1 0 0
Remarks: 1% will not fade until 1:00 o'clock closes the night light
The front and rear time point lights are set to the same brightness, and the brightness of the output during this time period is constant, for example
4 14:00 25% 50% 50% 50% 25%
5 18:00 25 50 50 50 25
6 20:00 25 50 50 50 25
From your time point, the output brightness is the same from 14:00 to 20:00.

The battery is use for backup, many person of same occupation haven't backup battery, because the battery consumes a lot of electricity, so the battery just for backup in need. In order to be more convenient for user. Our company controller also can control all of noopsyche products at the same time, not only K7 this products.

I really hate to hear that you are having problems, I have been away or I could have helped you as I do promote the lights.
The lights work fantastic but we need an update for the time issue that a couple of guys have had problems with.
These are just growing pains for a new lighting company and I am sure all will be good. If you have any question please let me know and I will get to the bottom of anything that is wrong.
Thanks
Matt

I understand now why people keep asking for a phone App. This is too much for me. Nice try I guess. Not looking to pay to beta test products so I guess I’ll be sending these back now. Bummer.

Nice of you to offer Matt but I think I’ve reached my limit on how much time I’m willing to spend trouble shooting this light schedule issue. Thanks anyway.

Sorry maybe I’m letting my frustration get to me. I want the light to turn on at 10:00 am and turn off completely at 12:00 am twelve hours later.
No problem. Turn on at 10:00 am, the schedule should be:
1 01:00 0% all
2 03:15 0% all
3 10:00 0%, 0% 0% 0% 0%
4 14:00 25% 50% 50% 50% 25%
5 18:00 25 50 50 50 25
6 20:00 25 50 50 50 25
7 23:59 0 0 1 0 0
If you want to start from 10:00, it should be 0% brightness. It will from 10:00 schedule 0% light up, then gradually light up to 14:00 setting brightness.

So that schedule is pretty close to what I want, but the percentages aren't. Are those percentages the only ones that will work or can those be edited to whatever?

Confirming we can't have the last data point past 23:59 correct?

You can adjust your own percentages and yes do not go past 23:59 or error.
