After a moving disaster in March, I'm ready to make progress with my Evo Nano Reed.
Update: Shortly after I lost all my fish/corals in my move, I started from scrap! I gave the Evo a thorough freshwater bath and scrub. This time around, I wanted to do things a little bit differently, the biggest being more rock. I had an arch and some caves in my previous setup, which didn't leave much real estate for me to put corals - even harder when I thought about placement with light/flow. I also wanted to make a deeper sand bed and overall better biological filtration. I've been cycling the tank for 3 months and just added my first two corals and two crabs for clean up.
Not much has changed on the equipment - I added a Reef Glass protein skimmer. In addition, I had to purchase an AI Prime tank arm to allow the skimmer and light to fit on the 2nd chamber. Also on order, clean chaeto algae that I will be running in chamber 1 w/ an IM refugium light. There were many opinions on running refugium before skimmer and visa versa, but this was the only way I could keep my intank chamber 1 basket running the filter floss. Well, there goes my rant, enjoy the pic, and I look forward to posting the progress.
