Experiment- Need Advice for Light Source

Hi, I’m looking to start somewhat of an experiment/case study type thing!

I am in search of two sources of light. One for emitting UV-A and one for emitting UV-B. I need some advice as far as what light (doesn’t have to be for aquarium use) emits these wavelengths below 400nm. I would prefer that these lights don’t also include other spectrums, I prefer that the light be specific to UV-A, UV-B, or both in one.

The tank is 26” long and 18” tall so obviously no unnecessarily large fixtures.

They make UVA and UVB lamps for reptiles, I would start your search there...

You could also consider running double ended metal halide with the UV shield glass removed...

I looked into those but I’m pretty sure almost all of them are heat lamps, which I really really want to avoid. Also, most aren’t 100% or even near 100% dedicated to UV-A or UV-B, most of what I’ve looked at is between 10% and 30% UV.

You could also consider running double ended metal halide with the UV shield glass removed...

Not a bad idea, but could I purchase a UV-A/B dedicated bulb?
