Interesting note about color vs the 2 ballasts. Once I get the tank up I will compare the two also.I got my M58 ballast kit.
It's been installed and assembled in this moment...
I made compression between electronic and magnetic ballasts....the magnetic have much more vibrant colour, to my eyes.

MH lamps are considered full spectrum. Nothing else needed.I have a new guy to reefing ? Don't you need to have blue light and red light also for the corals ?

No idea what par would be.With all of your testing as well as general MH knowledge, would you have a rough guess on what I may be seeing Par wise out of a 2 bulb 250w DE reefbrite fixture? I believe I’m 10” above waterline tank is 16” deep I’m using aquabrites 14k bulbs
You tested lumenbrights against reefbrites recently right? They were like 4-5x the par?No idea what par would be.
When I ran de 250 in LB reflectors I never checked but acros grew on the bottom. MH is 14" off the surface.
