Did you get 14K or 20K?
I have 6-20K Radiums, 6-10K Ushios, and 5-10K Ultrasuns. Will go with 10k to start but not sure which I will run yet. Leaning towards the 10K with the 2-14K edge bars.
Won't know until the tank gets here in a couple months.

sounds as good starting .

dont you think, in general , that MH shimmer + Led shimmer will be too much ?

14K .
i wanted the 10K , but they out of stock , temporarily.
You can buy Ushio 10K online. I even got a few on ebay.

Shimmer will depend on led used.
MH shimmer is pleasant. The Photons I run have minimal shimmer simalar to halides.
The new edge bar I imagine will be the same.

Random question, but does anyone using halides know how to convert a sunlight supply plug to C14? Or have a diagram of the sunlight supply plug showing ground, neutral and hot?

Any electrician can do it with a volt meter. Mine was done by the electrician that installed my 20 amp gfci plug.
I should have watched him. His first attempt was wrong then he got the meter.

What are you going to run on the M59 Sven?
It's the recommend magnetic ballast for my 400 watt ushios.
I am interested in how the par output may differ between magnetic and digital.
Same reason I have the M135 magnetic for the 20k Radium.

Picked this up today at no cost.
Looking to replace all screws with ss. Reflector cleaned up nice. I wish they would have put glass on the mogals like my old de.
The socket is adjustable and the 400 fits in there nicely.
16×16.
I will rewire the reflector. It had a splice for longer reach.
Painted the holder for the socket it was very rusted.
Once I get it back.together I will run par vs the RB.

I replaced all scews with similar from the hardware store.
I rewired the plug to the socket.

There are chem stains from the salt but the par values are quite different than the Reef Brite.

What do you think?

400 watt
10K ushio
Electronic ballast.
I am going to test the 20K's later.

Ran the Radium 20K on the digital and m-135.
Digital was 150 higher par.
300 more par than the RB
200 more par on the m135

Par
RB 110
LB 135 -325
Digi 449

14" to the surface 17" to the bottom is 31"

I got my M58 ballast kit.
It's been installed and assembled in this moment...
I made compression between electronic and magnetic ballasts....the magnetic have much more vibrant colour, to my eyes.
