So I found this graph. I will use it to compare my bulbs and ballasts with the kill a watt meter for a reference.

I have been dosing the CRT at .3g's 2× a week for 2 weeks. Today im going to .2g's a day. No fish currently.
No3 runs <1 and po4 runs 0.1. I have dosed a small amount of no3 to keep it registered on the Hanna.
Once a week I add a small amont of fish food to help keep the numbers up.
Coralline is starting to spot on the back wall, racks, and powerheads.

Turned up the 14K edge bars from 75% to 95% yesterday.
I fragged a wild tenuis from my main. It has a yellow look and will be interesting to see what it does in the 112. I will get a pic when the lights come on.

Kalk is now at 1mlm up from 0.5mlm and holding alk around 7.8.

Currently running the Ushio 20K BLV on electronic. Im happy with the par and look of this one on the electronic and SL setting.
I ran Radium 20K on M135 and Ushio 10K on M59 and the electronic.
The Giesemann 12.5 ran on an electronic but only for an hour test.

I was able to easily remove my Hungs rainbow from the 170 and mount it to a 2" tile. It has been 22 months since intro.
Never colored up and is a slow grower.
Start and today before I removed it. Once it settles I will get a pic.

Spectrum from my Parwise. 20K's and 10K's are about identical across brands.

The 10k bulbs graphs really steal the show in my opionion!

Look at how much area under the curve there is from violet all the way into the cyan spectrum and the amount of far red light is nothing to laugh at either.

Seeing these charts makes it clear to me why this spectrum grows coral so well!

The Giesemann 12.5 has more yellow than the Ushio 10K. It may burn in whiter but? I may run 1 in the garage and see if it changes.
The Ushio 20K is in now. Not as bright as the Hamilton and less par.

According to sanjey, the giessmann megachrome marine should be driven with HQI or M135/M155 ballast.
It should be more whiter with the correct ballast.

Thanks. I have the M135, looked the same. I did not have the digital turned to SL when I first tried it.
Did a retest and when its on SL it pulls 445 Watts, is more white than the M135, and gives 200 more par than the 20K.
I may try it at some point.

It's definitely should work with the M135 or HQI.

I was able to catch my aptasia filefish in my 15 and moved it here. 1 Tomini and the filefish currently.
I gave away some frags and a large colony of birdsnest from the 170.
Today a person is comming for some stags, oregon tort and a few more.
All frags are free. Its funny as people are almost embarrassed that they are not trading or paying. The person left $40 even when I said no thanks.

System is a little over 3 months and the ugly hair algae stage is gone. Yea you get the uglies with live rock but they are minimal and last only a few weeks.

I used AlgaeFix every 3 days for 3 doses. This works well in any system I have tried.
Still some algae left with coralline algae now taking over.

I really want to grow out some high end frags but here everyone want way to many $$$.
Eraser nubs for 3-$400 is just obscene and honestly does not help the hobby one bit.

Before I moved we would keep frags we did not want to lose if our systems crashed in other peoples systems at no cost.
I have asked a few locals but many think I just want something for nothing.

After more research with the help of AI , the megachrome bulbs should be driven by HQI magnetic ballast (not the M135) , that giessmann sales at their shop.

Accordingly to giessmann, this HQI ballast will give the crisp white will blue Ray light .

I will test it in next month , will publish pictures and PAR readings .

By the way ,my plan for the first 2 years of the tank is 2×400w of megachrome marine 12500k with 4 T5 blue plus to give highest growth rate , and from the 3rd year will work with megachrome coral 14500k
