Tank looks great and room for new big colonies[emoji106]. Is it just a thin layer of large grain reef sand? So even, does it stay that way with Gyre power?
Thanks! I'm excited for the room to work with regarding coralscaping but it is sad to see the full reef tank look go.

Sand is just Reeflakes... Stays in place pretty well with the two Gyre 350s and 2 MP60s.

I plan to move that Spathulata up the rocks now and get it a little more par now that it has settled a bit in the tank.

I placed mine straight into decent light, it dropped the pink and went flat yellow for about a week and then started colouring back up, lovely coral. :)

Last time I got one, threw it straight into 350-400 par and it was toast the next day. [emoji15]

Figured I'd take my time this time around with it. [emoji23]

Hey @FarmerTy,

How is the AZ sunset different than a nice rainbow BTA? What are the differences?
That bit of nice yellow/orange on the tips and the abundant white splotches. Color is an interesting color as well, darker to lighter and starting from the middle towards the outside.

It definitely stands out from all the orange/red high end nems out there. Just something much different.

Where is your Pinky the Bear par wise in your tank? I have mine towards the most par and it is mostly only pink with a really white base with a little bit of green
Towards the bottom of my 29" deep tank... Getting roughly 200 par.

Just caught up on the thread. Things are looking great Ty. Have you set up your Gyre 350's yet? I also upgraded and got mine set up last weekend. I absolutely love them. Silent, and man do they move water. The flow directors are awesome!

Thanks bud! Yes, finally got to swap them out last week. So much quieter and move a bit more water too! I'm very happy with them. I put the two old gyres on my frag tanks and they got a boost in flow as well.

That's what I'm saving my 250's for also. I don't have a frag tank setup yet but eventually I will.
