Fat clown...

I noticed last night the larger of my pair is super fat. I can never remember which is the male/female, but I assume the larger is female. This mean they'll lay down some eggs soon? Check out the fatness... Also I have zero interest in attempting to raise clowns....

**** that's a fat clown. I'm not an expert on this but that's not a normal clown. Maybe it is going to lay eggs. I heard the eggs will most likely die or get killed by another fish If you don't have a breeding tank.

They will defend the eggs from any other tank inhabitants, until they hatch. Then theyll be fair game for any fish in the tank.

My female Percula Clownfish has always been very thick and pot-bellied, but I have never seen her lay eggs.
I have had the pair for over three years and they consistently are fanning the sand and rocks like they're nesting, but nothing has ever happened.
You can see the bowl they've created in the sand bed in the pic below. They host in all of the LPS.

So when I compare your female to mine, she looks normal. (My female is on the right in photo.)
But maybe someday, if we're lucky, they'll try to lay eggs. It would be neat to see. Good luck!
