Hi,
I was wondering if the trace 3 from fauna marin can be mixed with soda ash?
Trace 3 is meant to be mixed with baking soda (sudium bicarbonate which is what fauna marin uses) but I rather use sodium carbonate.
But I don't know if this is possible due to the high ph of soda ash.
TRACE 3 INGREDIENTS:
Potassium, Sodium Fluor, Iodine, Bromine, stabilisers. Based on inorganic compounds.
Also the amount per liter should be different I suppose..
FM's mixin instructions for trace 3 is to mix it with their kh product (sodium bicarbonate or baking soda).
Add 4 liter rodi water in a container and add 500 grams of the kh powder, than fill it further to 5 liter mark and than add 25ml of trace 3.
So, to convert this I would think that baking soda is 3 gram/100liter and soda ash is 1,8 gram/100liters for a 1dkh rais.
So that's:
5000/3 = 1666,66
5000/1,8= 2777,77
25/1666,66 = 0,015
0,015 x 2777,77= 41,66ml
So first can I use sodium carbonate instead of sodium bicarbonate with the ingredient I noter above?
And if yes can i use 41,66ml of trace 3 per 500g to dose the same amount of trace per dkh added?
