If pink/red reduce a little as it can promote/support algae
With that light, reduce white, and maintain blue

High alk like 12 is probably not ideal in a new tank. Essentially you are on the high end of the spectrum so there is little room for error on parameters. I'd say slowly, and I mean slowly over a week to two lower it to 10 dkh. With stock lights on a biocube, I doubt you are frying it with par unless your rockscape arch is to the top of the water line.

Arch is is 1/2 to 3rd from top. How do you suggest lower. I use instant ocean reef salt

I have another question is if better to run a refugium an dose nitrate and phosphate or leave it be. I'm trying to grow my pod population.

Getting fairly ahead of yourself. I don't believe you need to have a refugium for pods. I have tons, so much my six line and mandarin look pregnant and I just dose phyto.

I saw a funny thing the other day on here when someone was asking about how much to dose for phyto and people always say a few ml. The original poster was saying this is not beneficial because it is like releasing a few shrimp in lake Michigan and hope that the fish find them, the analogy was essentially you are letting a miniscule amount of phyto into the water and hope the tiny copepods can find it. I dose 4-8 oz of phyto a day into a 32 gallon. It's typically 4oz twice a day if I can, but often just once.

I have two different types of phyto in two Poseidon Reef reactors which are 3.5 liters, so I culture 3.5 liters a week when I split my culture. I sell what I can and just dump the rest into my tanks. If I have no buyers, I definitely dose more per day.

I have a good population of pods. I also have a mandarin but not really a good source to keep them alive in the sump. I dose the tank and sump with pods. But finally got mandarin eating frozon
