Feed pump for Calcium reactor

Hey guys I'm setting up a Calcium reactor and was interested to know w/ type of feed pumps you use on your reactor? Not the recirculating pump. I destroyed to MJ 1200 that came w/ the setup. I had the effluent set-up to 1 drop per second and the pump couldn't handle the psi I guess.

I used to use an aqualifter. Same problem with pressure. Than switched to a Rio maxi jet type. Had a venturi attachment for it and hooked the feed to that. That way only what is excepted goes in with no back pressure and the rest blows off in the sump.
on new build will be getting rid of the pump and tie in in off of my return manifold
