I was curious on others feedback and wouldnt mind elaborating on anything with mine if you're curious for the sake of comparison and growing better coral. I have a mixed reef 29 gallon tank with softies, LPS, and SPS. recently purchased the nicrew hyperreef 150 light and its 40$ controller. im pretty happy overall. it has a much better spread than my previous black box light which is nice. The colors of my corals dont seem to pop as much though i feel. i did play around with the intensity of the lights. whites are for 2 hours a day at 5% and blues max out at 60% for around 11 hours. Everything is happy so far i just wish the colors popped more like they did before. Additionally i have read that moving corals down lower can help with developing colors...thoughts? TIA!

Sounds like you know the basics. You could always try more expensive lighting. But that doesn’t always work. Some reefers use multiple lighting fixtures on the same reef tank.

no doubt. i wanted AI Primes but was just a bit much for two of them and mounting etc. we'll see. if im still in it after 4 or 5 years ill get something nicer maybe. i miss my T5's where i could just get whatever bulbs i wanted easily every 6 months. expensive to replace bulbs continuously though.
