Every few weeks I purchase live brine shrimp from the LFS. Right now I just dump some in and let the frenzy begin but I want to ensure they are just not empty calories.

Is it better to gut load them or soak in a solution? If I gut load them, what do I use? If I soak them, what do I soak them in?

Given the space (or lack of) I have no intention of raising my own brine shrimp.

Thanks for the help.

Since I raise baby brine for my fish and corals, with one of those cones. I use PhytoFeast after a few days to keep them alive for the rest of the week. This also gut loads them. I also feed my tank PhytoFeast so I have it around at all times. Adult brine shrimp are mostly fiber shell. I would gut load them if I was you.
