I just bought two corals that require being filter fed (flowerpot & plastomussa). I was wondering what is a cost effective way to do this. What do you guys use?

Currently thinking of Kent Marine PhytoPlex.

They don't "require" feeding. They may benefit from it but not a guarantee you'll visually see any improvement. They will grow and thrive with just stable parameters and light. I have a red flowerpot I never direct feed it, just gets t5 lights, and whatever fish poo (there is a lot from my tangs) and/or particles that are floating around the tank.

But if you wanna direct feed with a syringe, powerheads off, then have at it. Doesn't need to be done more than once or twice a week with very small amounts in order not to promote cyano. I would highly recommend reef roids.

Sweet. Okay I'll probably buy them some food but at least I know I can have them wait a week or more until I get paid. Currently I have no fish since I got the ich. Trying to treat the issue..

Do you mean Blastomussa or Micromussa?

The Goniopora/flower pot will benefit from the use of Spongepower, Goniopower, Acropower....
The other LPS will take small particle meaty sea foods such as Rods Food, or a slurry made up of pellets, and or flake, mysis.

I use Reef Chill (BRS), ReefRoids, Frozen Mysis for larger corals, and Frozen Reef Plankton from the freezer section @ LFS.

It may just be anecdotal but I have had really good response from providing my corals a varied diet, where I cycle through the food and I feed every three to five days depending on the nutrient levels.

I haven't directly fed my Goniopora directly but it sits near a Acan that I assume some of the acan's left overs make there way over to it.

I have a squeeze bottle that I have filled with Coral Frenzy, Marine Snow, and a few cubes of Rotifers. I mix them all together with some water and store it in the fridge. Once a week I'll squirt a little into the PH's to disperse the mixture around the tank. The only thing I target feed is the Nems.
