Filter Floss?

Hey reefers,

I am seeing alot of filter floss ever since i started researching my 15g nano build. i never used filter floss in my 75 gallon tank. Can someone explain exactly what purpose this filter floss serves and if its worth the time and effort to use it ? I am going to have a skimmer in this tank as well just FYI. Thanks !!

Filter floss is basically a sponge that catches and absorbs solid particulates. It is very useful for filtration in that regard and I would definitely recommend using it in conjunction with a skimmer!

I use it in both my Nanos. Very easy to change. Less hassle than socks. Is this an aio?
