So in the process of planning a upgrade for my tank I am going to quarantine all my fish and coral however I don’t have the new tank yet, so I figured I’ll quarentene fish one by one and put them in a holding tank with the rock for the upgrade
Holding tank is this so 150L / 40 gallons and 30cm deep or 1 foot deep and 83cm wide or 3 foot diameter
there would be a 7000Lph pump and 40kg of rock in there, would I need a canister filter or somthing if so what
to act as filtration for
Foxface
Melanarus wrasse
2x clownfish
Mandarin goby
Coral beauty

Are you planning on having a sandbed? I would leave it bare and just siphon out any detritus. If you want mechanical filtration you could just throw a HOB on there, but I don't think it would make much difference.
I was going to have a little tuppaware tub in there with sand for the wrasse but no sandbed but yea good idea with the syphoning
