I have seen so much conflicting information on using urine to cycle a tank, that I emailed BRS. Below is their response.

Actually yes, you can! It is not something that we would suggest doing at all, like never ever but yes it would work. Urine is primarily ammonia but the concentration is unknown because that relies on how hydrated or dehydrated you are and the amount that would be needed would also be unknown. Bottom line is, yes you can do it, but just don't. That's a funny question though, never been asked that!
