was finally able to find a mccoskers wrasse at my LFS today. Super happy with the find. Luckily he was big so my six line is not interested in picking anything with him. all the other fish already don't care. my sixline definitely wants to pick a fight but I think he knows he's half his size.

Be careful with the six, they may seem nice and seem to back down but they really do fight to the death even if the wrasse is larger than it.

I will be keeping a close eye. if he becomes too much he will be gone if I can catch him. the mccoskers is so much cooler and can already tell much more peaceful

Theres a reason six lines are dubbed "murderous little jerks". Even though they are small, they can, and will take down fish three to four times their size.
my guy honestly has no issues with most new additions. he was my second fish before knowing of their nature. he normally gets aggressive with his own reflection and leaves everyone else. he did harras my goby for a while but gave up. hoping he doesn't even start with this guy.

Just like us humans, every fish's personality is different. Some people have very peaceful six lines, but those are exceptions to their general nature, and personality.

More often then not, they start out peaceful, and as the age, they tend to get ornery.

Great color. Ive had my 6 line 4+ years and still peaceful, in fact semi-shy.

luckily my tanks will grow with as they grow. already had to upgrade once. planning on upgrading next year already. hoping with the new larger environments as they grow they don't become territorial. we'll see though, have a lot of time since my biggest fish are the blenny and this new wrasse at like 2.5 inches.

thanks. he has been at the LFS for a little while surprised I missed him. they showed me him eat right away also. I don't quarantine because I don't have the space so I have to go based on how healthy they look.

If you like the look of a sixline but not the aggression. Pick up a pink streak wrasse they are cooler than a sixline and much more peaceful.

The issue with pink streaks is;
They may be peaceful and beautiful but they can’t be added after other aggressive fish go into the tank. Even just a blenny will be too much aggression and they tend to stress and die unfortunately. If the OP says their stocking then it will help to know if a pink streak is the right move however when new you ideally don’t want them in an active tank and want to add pink streaks rather close to the start of not as your first fish.

Didn’t realize that. I got one but most of my tank inhabitants are very passive.
