Hi All. Finally got around to start a marine build after 2 years building my new house. Now that I've settled in I bought a red sea nano G2 XXL. Should be delivered by the end of July! Can't wait to start this journey!

Bought myself a par reader, hannah salinity checker, an Ro-di system.

Would love to become more involved in this forum 🙂

Welcome to R2R!

That checker gets out of whack. Mine sits on the shelf. Even after calibration it always shows lower than the refractometer.

Use a refractometer and a bottle of calibration fluid.

Have fun!

Exciting times. If not going to use live rock, I’d recommend getting your dry rock and scape made ASAP and pick up a brute trash can to fill it with saltwater, some nitrifying bacteria, and a small pump for circulation. It should help get your tank established quicker than if you had added it when your tank arrives.

Best bet would be to use live rock though. I wish I had
