I set up a new nano tank at my office. A 24g aquapod. It's drilled with a 15g sump and a 110g reef octopus skimmer. I've heard nothing but great things about reef cleaners so I decided to give them a shot. I ordered today and asked to have my pack arrive next friday. I have a nice diatom bloom right now and I plan on letting it go a little longer to give the crew something to get started on. The cycle has been going for around 5 weeks. The tank will have 4-5 fish and will be used mostly as a coral growout tank. I have about 15lb of live rock in there to maximize sandbed space for my coral.

Here is my order:

20 Dwarf Cerith
10 Florida Cerith
15 Nerites
10 Nassarius
10 Blue Leg Crabs
2 Scarlet Reef Hermits

Probably a little overkill but I plan on feeding heavily since I have such a huge skimmer. I will be posting pictures of my tank before, during and after.

Thanks!

You will not have problems with Reef Cleaners. I like your thinking process. However, I would add about 10 more pounds of LR, some of it can be down on the bed.

I too am in the feed heavy camp... it works, but IMO it also reinforces/dictates the need for the additional LR. ... housing for the masses of bacteria you are going to be nurturing... thus the magic!

I will eventually be adding rock when I place coral in. But probably not that much. Here is a picture of how it sits now.

So far I am extremely impressed with the customer service. I got an email from John about 15 min after placing my order. He thanked me and confirmed my shipping times.

Just be prepared for approx. 100-200 dwarf ceriths instead of 20;) I like mine as they disappear during the day and come out and do their dirty work at night all the while helping to keep my sandbed clean.

Thank you all very much for the kind words! I can count better then that dougers! lol.. Yeah once they get on their routine they are pretty funny about scheduling, not perfectly nocturnal, but pretty close.
