Tagging along, that sump is an awesome bit of gear.
Thanks. I went back and forth for months on which sump to get, especially since I like to DIY and have done some decent sumps in the past. There are some nice ones out there nowadays. I am very pleased with my choice though.

And just like that - she's here! So happy with it. Felix's father is a master crate builder! Some cell phone pics... I think I will have a beer and just stare at it a while. A big Thank you to Felix and @Reef Savvy !

A few more pics, up close. Everything still has some Styrofoam dust on it and I haven't removed the
shrink wrap on the tank.

The ABS liner and the bottom Eurobracing...

The top bracing is doubled up, except in the space where the overflow fits...

The Ghost Overflow. Mine is the old style that uses 1" bulkheads, instead of the welded fittings on the bottom.
This requires a bit more room behind the tank, but that is not an issue with me, since the tank sits in the corner
at an angle and there is plenty of room behind the tank. I will actually be able to walk behind the tank, unless I
gain too much more weight. :)

Side of the overflow. The top is clear, but the paper is still on the top.

And my blue PVC arrived today.

More to follow - hopefully soon! :)

It takes a while for that Reef Savvy mystique to sink in. I just sat and looked at mine for a couple of days. Blue pvc looks good. A little caveat be careful not to over tighten your bulkheads on the overflow, it will leak, don't ask me how I know

Thanks. That is kinda where I am at right now. Just staring at it. :)

Years ago, I used to only use the Spears PVC bulkheads. It generally requires larger holes and they have larger flanges. But, they don't look so nice and are probably overkill for our application. Just about everything has gone to the ABS bulkheads now. I will take it easy tightening them. Thanks for the heads up.

I know your stoked bro!!! You have every right to be!!!
Thanks, Andy. I am glad that the waiting part is over, that's for sure. I still have preparation to do and for added incentive, the tank is sitting in my living room. So far, the wife has been ok with it, but I am guessing by next weekend I will start hearing, "So when are you going to get everything set up and out of the way?" I am already hearing, "What are you going to do with the old tank?" :)
