I bought a firefish goby 3 days a go and I haven't seen him since I put him in the tank. What should I do?

My firefish goby hides almost all the time. Even after months of being in the tank. I'll see her out swimming when I'm away from the tank, but usually shoots into her hole when I walk near it. Unless its feeding time.

I was worried after a while of this too, just had to start thinking in the wild these fish are probably the lower spectrum of the food chain. So it's just a natural thing for them to do, hang out near their hole and dart in when anything comes by.

Ok thanks everyone

I bought the biggest firefish I have ever seen for sale, put it in a tank with fish half his size, and it is still hiding except for feeding time.

However, it has no problem if I light it up with a flashlight to check on it.

Nothing you can do I’ve only seen mine maybe a dozen times in 3 months they like to hide make sure food gets behind the rocks and he’ll be fine
