I run a setting called Pirates of the Caribbean. It's a very blue setting but the lfs use hydras and blue only.
9 small fish, the biggest is a coral beauty. I feed one frozen cube of mysis a day.
I’m familiar with that program but what intensity do you have it set at? I have a hydra 26 HD on my 29 gallon biocube 12” above the water and it doesn’t produce much par.

Wow. I'm getting nowhere near as much par as I imagined.
Thank you, you've been very helpful.
You’re welcome. I know you probably already thought of this but you’re not getting much par for very long either. You can crank those babies up for sps.

Keep in mind yours had to make one extra move and adjust to that new enviroment. I'm no expert but from my limited experience my acros took 2 - 8 weeks to really adjust and take off. For me color came first then growth.

YUP!!!! This is the likely issue.

No nopox or GFO. I actually have to dose nitrate and phosphate occasionally to get a reading. 2 Hydras on a Reefer 250, mounted 12" above the water level. The acro is 6" under the water level, almost directly under one of the Hydras.

Unless you are a very experienced reefer, I'd suggest not messing with dosing phosphate or nitrate. It can have some of the same negative effects as carbon dosing. Hard to say if this is part of the issue, but your other corals look pretty pale... What's your photo period like?

Also, that frag is still basically adapting, so not really time to worry about anything yet.

I appreciate all the help and advice.
I will have a look at my lighting and as I want to add more acros in the future, I will also look to upping the flow in my display.
