Hi all - have had a few aquariums over the years but finally testing the acro world. I’ve had different Montiporas, Stylos and other easier SPS for years. I read conflicting stuff online so shooting for average of 300 par. I have a par meter so comfortable with the actual reading. 300 sound right give or take? I have an ORA Frogskin, TSA Bill Murray and RR Aussie Gold. Have had for about a week and a half. Colors seem fine but hardly any polyp extension yet. Parameters are good except Niteate is only around 1ish. Phos runs .05 - .08. Thoughts? Appreciate the feedback.

Forgot to mention PH is a little low. 7.6 - 7.8 but I’ve never chased parameters. Goal is stability.

300 par is plenty for those 3 Acros. IMHO. The Aussie Gold may actually have better color in lower par. My Frogskin Acro is getting par in the mid 200's most of the day and looks great. Don't worry so much about PE. Some Acros are just fuzzy, while others, not so much.

I’ve had frags that took a couple months to base out before seeing any polyp extension. Focus on stability above all else, don’t bottom out nutrients, and I’d suggest a Doser to maintain alk. I dose all for reef daily with a Ecotech versa Doser and it’s made reefing so simple.

Never measure par myself, I set the lights to 75% and watch the coral for signs of too little or too much.
