Ok so I have been in the hobby for a few years now. Sharing my passion with salt and fresh water. Well I've had a 55 gallon up and running for about 6 months and kept having problems with it and the lighting. So I decided it was time to upgrade to a 75 and do a reef tank with it. So in 1 day of non stop moving I drained my 55 cleaned it out and moved my 75 freshwater to the 55. That is where the fun started. I fully cleaned the 75 back to looking like a brand new tank. Then came my live rock and sand after a good cleaning of both. Filled the tank up and put my fish in. I'm running a 6 bulb t5 fixture
80 pounds of live rock and 40-60 pounds of live sand.
Pics of before and throughout the build are posted below, also you can notice the difference in my fish behavior in the 2 tanks as they are not just hosting 1 corner of the tank
Plans to come in the future are playing a little more with the lights until I get the perfect lighting I've been dreaming of. Of course more fish and clean up crew will be coming. Right now I'm still trying to get my water right so I can start adding some corals to the tank
