First Clam Advice

Hi Everyone,
i got my first clam Thursday from my LFS and i wanted to check with the group to see if they thought it looked ok. Here are two shots of it. I have it on the bottom of my tank in crushed coral. i want to relocate it to a harder substrate (rock), but the foot already attached to some of the crushed coral. its not falling over or anything, so i am not sure how important it is that it attaches to something more stable. What do you all think?
