Hello, so I just got this frag of kryptonite candy cane and I was wondering if it looks alright. The ones I've seen posted are generally more "fluffy". I've tried looking as to if it's normal or if something is wrong. (bought it like this. It's my favorite coral and want to do right by it. Any help and tips to keeping them are appreciated.

Just need to give it sometime to acclimate to your tank. Once happy it will “fluff” up. When the tentacles are out you can spot feed it some mysis, etc.. to have it grow faster. I did that for the first year or so when it was just starting as 1 head, then after that I haven’t fed it directly in 3 years. I split my colony into two a couple years back and sold one. They are pretty hardy. I was about to pick up a frag of a kryptonite a few weeks back but told myself I didn’t have any room. My colony is located in the bottom right of the pic.
