OK as I was reading what I had posted, it seems I have not ordered any salt mix. I am looking at the Aquaforest Reef Salt. Anyone have thoughts on this brand ??

That may be fine but id order tropic marine pro because triton results from various aquariums show it not to be elevated in various metals like some other salts are. So that would be my choice. Nice start!

I rate go with tropic marine, some other salts seem to have elevated metals in them. I got my first triton results back recently and I was surprised. Next time I would just go straight with tropic marine instead of the other vendors.

Well I can say he did a great job. I really like the way it came out with the colors and all as well. Yeah I am hopping I made my last run to Home Depot (likely not)

Really liking that sump. Very nice!

Xathron, I saw your sump mentioned over a Jeff's site and read your thread. It's going to be a beautiful tank and your sump if so much nicer than the one I purchased from Jeff around 15 years ago. :D Smartest thing I ever did was buy the the best product the first time around.

Snook, Thanks I am glad to hear you feel that Jeff's sumps are good. I am happy with the out come of his build. His customer service is outstanding as well. As I was doing the plumbing to the calcium reactor I broke a part ( all my fault ) sent him an email asking how much to replace the part. He was like NP its in the mail.

OK got all the plumbing done, except the calcium reactor that I am holding on the part I broke. Look and let me know if it looks like I did something wrong. Since this is the first time I gave it my best guess. ( little help form the internet) ok lot of help
