Do they gotta be close to the glass? N they sell macro lenses for iPhones and pods I'm thanking about it because I have a Nikon coolpix l100 and it won't take great photos of my tank but amazing ones without glass

Great first macro photos. Make sure you are 90 degrees to the glass or else you will get some distortion like in the clove picture. You should look into getting a look down camera box from melvereef, you will love taking photos with one.
