Hi All,

I just added yellow watchman to my 90 gallon tank it hasn’t been a day but my bicolor dottyback been attacking my watchman and he’s too fun missing good chuck. Is this something that will resolve its self or I need to remove my dobbyback?

Dotty backs are aggressive fish. They usually watch over a territory. In a 90 you would hope there is enough room for both. But if he's actively hunting him. Looking for him. You may need to get rid of one of them

If it was me, I would get rid of the dottyback and replace it with the similar looking more peaceful Royal Gramma.

They can be nasty. The behavior doesn’t generally improve after the first week or two, but within that timeframe it can improve.

Dottyback are an aggressive group, in general, however.

Since you like dottybacks (I do too) you might want to consider an orchid - much less aggressive in my experience and certainly adds color and interest. BTW, good luck catching your bicolor.
