Thanks for sharing. I love the simple concept. You didn't go for the million dollar looking system. The horse trough sumps inspires the average working person like myself proving that anyone can have a saltwater system.

I am certainly an average working person. I was just diagnosed with multiple tank syndrome at an early age. Lol I just love keeping corals, but I also love my triggerfish. So I needed to build something that held both my salt systems. And then we bought a house so I started adding tanks to system. And adding and adding. Horse troughs were first acquired, because I needed to move my 135 and 210 fowlr in one day. And I had 2 days to prepare at house. So I bought horse troughs for size volume and affordability, then started to and then added heaters and added salt and pumps then brought fish over. Actually leaving my entire fowlr in horse trough while I made new saltwatr in there 210 since they didn't add up to enough space, but size wise a 100 gallon horse trough has a lot of room, and when u add heaters live rock and pumps u have a fish home that buys u 24-30 hours till water was ready!

This hobby is like a disease, once bitten you can never have enough. I have been in and out of the hobby over the years due to moving around a lot. I finally bought a house and traded my blazer for a 360 gallon tank. One would think that's enough but I was offered a 220 for free so why not! Now I am looking at frag tanks and you just made the 150 gallon horse trough in the back yard have a purpose. I now have my fish only and a reef in progress so I'm pretty happy but I still want more. Good luck with your continued success.
