Algae blennies are ugly. They remind me of Homer Simpson.

With them it's more about personality than looks. They way they press their faces to the glass and watch you and curl their tails under them and sit and stare with the comical frowny face.

I can't believe the number of folks that find Foxfaces ugly IMHO they are the perfect Alternative to a Yellow Tang (and much less likely to be a jerk to boot).

For me, I don't know that they are ugly per se, but I would say I find pretty much any variety of clownfish overrated and boring simply because they are the dime a dozen fish of the hobby.

Idk, I agree with them. He looks like Jeebs from Men in Black when he loses his head.

Pj cardinal, banggai cardinal, kole tang, tomini tang, scoops tang lawnmower blenny, chalk bass, sixline wrasse, several anthias species and aberrant clownfish.

These just dont do it for me!

I agree a a lot of your list but sixline wrasses? Really? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess lol

OK, this is meant to be fun. So no personal attacks. Just call out fish you see allot of and call it what it is to YOU.

For me, I can't stand Fox face, Cardinals or dog face Puffers.

This is all personal opinion so what one person doesn't like is totally OK.
I wonder if the fish wonder the same thing about "us." Considering no fish is overweight or balding ;)

Love dogface puffers, in 30 years I have always had one, have one right now.

I just don;t get clowns, when I see a post including clowns I don;t even read it, unless it has to do with putting them in with lions.
I started with 2 clowns 9 yrs ago, they are by far the most sociable fish I've ever owned, they don't hide when I go near the tank, the swim over as if they're saying hi. lol I now have 2 black and white clowns in a biocube too...you'd hate my tank. haha I love Puffers too though.

Any fish that is not "natural". The mutated ones you don't find in nature like "genetically modified/selectively bred". happens alot with clownfish and goldfish, flowerhorns etc.

Not keen on powder blue tangs either

Have to agree on Marine Betas and Maroon Clown (all variants) they are atrocious IMO. Also agree with the Conspicuous Angel and Gem Tang.

How has the Bird Wrasse and Dragon Wrasse not made it on here??? I thought they’d have taken over the thread by now!!

I think we’ve picked about 75% of the fish on LiveAquaria as ugly.

Anyone want to start a sister thread about whose NOT ugly?
