Same today, not much change. I did a big water change and gave the second kanaplex dose. Still not eating and not moving much. Breathing is slow and looks shallow.

I gave Kanaplex dose #3 and in two days, the Banggai cardinal will go back to the DT.
Here is how it looks today. There was a bit of sun shining on the tank today and it was basking in it. Still not eating, but that was nice to see.
It looks like the skin over the eye is starting to dry out, so I am more hopeful than I was.
I thought it was some kind of scab from the wound healing…I just don't know what that tan crusty stuff along the lower edge of the eye is from. The "not eating" is not a good sign.....

I assume the ammonia level is negligible? I know some people have luck getting a fish to eat by soaking it in garlic... It can be an aquarium product or just regular garlic you may have on hand in your fridge (real, not powder...).I gave Kanaplex dose #3 and in two days, the Banggai cardinal will go back to the DT.

I haven’t tested ammonia because I used seeded filter floss from the main tank and I also did a big WC 2 days ago. He’s only been in there 5 days and I removed all the food I gave him with a turkey baster.I assume the ammonia level is negligible?
