I’m still on my journey to finding my “photography style”— I wanted to share some new pics I’ve taken. I’m always open to feedback or ways I can improve, so if you have some please comment.

My favorite pic is the “anthias snuggles” (img_7145)

Happy reefing friends!

I have two Dispar and one sunburst. I’ve had these for a year or two. I’m hoping to get a few evansi in the near future. I have discovered I really love Anthias so I appreciate the kind words about their health/looks :winking-face: @i cant think .
Has one of them turned male??

Great pictures! Anthias are one of my favorite fish subjects. I'm not sure why they are so fun to photograph. And that glitter Goni is amazing. My only feedback is maybe bump up the brightness on the subject a bit. It seems like when I upload pics to R2R, it darkens them for some reason. Maybe the compression?

Oh I'm so jealous of the Christmas tree rock!
Thank you—it’s one of my favorite things in my tank! Had it since February and it’s been doing fantastic. Since you mentioned it, here are two more pics for you. I will admit, this is probably one of the hardest thing to take pictures of due to all the detail, etc.

yea, the one in the front in all the pics is a male. They aren’t as obvious as the lyretail Anthias, etc.

thank you so much for the feedback! I was wondering if it did something like that. I was trying to bump the brightness on the subjects, but it then made it look a little too artificial because of the contrast (to me). Something I can definitely play with.

It's hard to believe these were shot through the tank glass. Very nice. I had a little niggle with the oof blue in the foreground of the 4th image but image 7290 above more than made up for it.
thanks! Yup these were shot through the glass! I appreciate the feedback, I’ve been trying to darken the background to have greater focus on the subject… but I can see how that could be misleading. :)
