Fish stress question....

Will my yellow tang get stressed from fighting his own reflection? I know it might seem silly but hes at it all day everyday.

No, its just some work out! I have three in my display and they do that same, for about 3 years now.

When I add a new tang I use a mirror to distract the alpha for a day. My tangs get so worked up over this mirror, I only use it for a day or two. I worry the added stress could be harmful long term.

Do you got any other fish in the tank? My tangs chase the Light reflection a little bit but nothing like the actual mirror

Maybe if you put a mirror he will take the light reflection less serious?? Haha just thinking out loud here

Got 12 other fish he dont care about them though. I'm hoping he gives it up as hes breathing fast today too so that's why I'm concerned.

Funny fella. You could try to dim the lights for a day two, that should lower the visibility of his reflection
