FishFace NJ build

They were bought "live" rock but were not submerged in water when shipped. They have been in a QT tank that was setup for just the rocks. Didn't want to move them if it isn't safe for the main DT. Okay I will move them to DT if you think it's okay
Have you picked over them looking for dead stuff? If they were live but shipped dry, I'd also 'smell test' them for dead stuff and use a pick to scrape off anything questionable then maybe give them another week, just to be sure.

I did use a soft toothbrush to remove dead stuff. Red sponges and feather dusters remain. Smells fine.
I'd be leery of the sponges, double check that they look and smell healthy. The feather dusters are almost certainly fine. If it all smells fine though I'd probably go for it.

Says the guy that just eradicated a bunch of sponges from his tank
Oh Yeah. If they are photosynthetic, encrusting sponges, eliminate them right away or get a different hobby. 😳

I placed the live branch rock into the DT today. The Regal Angel is enjoying the branch rock. He has been pecking at the branch since I placed them in the DT. He's enjoying the feather dusters. While dismantling the QT I dropped my NP led light in the quarantine tank that still had water in it. Brand new light. Placed an order for pods today since the DT has none left. I have checked 4 days in a row at 1 AM to see if I see any crawling around...not one could be found. Have a wonderful Monday!

Did you unplug it and put it in rice???

Okay, somewhat caught up and enjoyed reading several pages. I guess I’m lazy compared to you 😜. Unless I’ve misunderstood, good luck on the new tank setup. I will be following along.

I just threw it in the kitchen garbage can. I thought the salt would rust the board?

I don't think I would ever trust it again. That's full immersion. You'll never get all of that out without a full teardown. Even if it doesn't rust the chance of a short at some point is more than I would risk. I think you made the right choice. Of course, easy for me to say, it isn't my money. Sorry Diana.

Received a 1/2 gallon of Reef of Steele copepod buffet and phyto. Tank hasn't changed. I'll be doing a water change later today. Happy Friday!

It changed! You added stuff! 😑 and what if I just wanted to see it?

Enough of the bad luck crap D. How about a couple of pictures of the DT! Sheesh!!!!

Everything looks the same. I don’t know what to do with the sand. It looks like someone went into the skimmer neck, scooped out some of the dark gunk and rubbed sand into the gunk, then nicely scattered that sand into my display tank. I tried vacuuming the top layer, but it’s stuck to the sand grains.

Get a couple of Conches or some Nassarius snails to help turn the sand over.
