Bought this tank a while ago when I saw it on clearance for a great price. Finally decided to get it set up. Eheim 47 gallon rimless, which I will set up using hang on the back equipment. Filtration will be a Seachem Tidal 75 and a HOB skimmer. Lighting will be 2 of the nicrew LED fixtures designed to look like Kessils. Sand will be caribsea dry aragonite, with a little fiji pink live sand mixed in. Tank will be set up using dry rock, a blend of marco rock and caribsea liferock.

I have a variety of corals growing out in my 75 gallon that will be going in this setup, which will be predominately LPS, with some softies.

The tank and stand are replacing an end table between our couch and our loveseat, so we decided to have a small countertop basically functioning as an end table around the tank. The front of the stand will be open, and will have shelving where we will put various shells and things I bring home from school in St Kitts.

This is the tank we are working with:

This is the stand so far, being built by my dad:

Ordered a powerhead for this tank today, along with 2 of the Viparspectra 165 watt LEDs. I love how well they grow coral in my 75 gallon, and their ease of use and built in timer. They were even on sale today on Amazon for only $135 each instead of $180 each! Also ordered more Microbacter7 and a bottle of BioSpira to seed the dry rock with, as we will basically set this up and stock it like we did with our 75 gallon.

Excited to get things together to get this tank up and running.

Update: Stand is finished! Now just need to get it up to my house from my parent's place, and get going on setting the tank up.

I like this a lot! those tiles are going to look sweet. I assume the tank will sit into the gap left with no tiles? Love to see a picture of it when its in situ!

You got it! Designed the stand so the foam under the tank and bottom edge of the tank will not be visible when viewed from the front. Wanted the stand to function as the end table it is replacing while still holding the tank and to match our existing furniture. My wife sits next to that table every morning on the couch to drink her coffee and watch 3 of the other tanks, now she'll have 4 to watch.

Exciting news! The lights were hung from the ceiling today, which means I'll hopefully have the sand and rock scaped and in the tank and have the tank full of water by the end of the weekend. Can't wait to get this tank going and move the rock flower anemones from the 75 gallon in here as soon as safely possible, so I can get rid of the breeder box they are being held in. I also want to move a lot of the LPS over to this system, and maybe one of the rainbow bubbletip anemone clones, as it seems to want to climb the rockwork in my 75 gallon. Plus there are 3 percularis clownfish and the helfrichi firefish pair who have been patiently waiting in quarantine for their tank to be up and running. Just need to make a mesh lid for the tank before they get transfered over.

Pictures soon!

And tank is filled. Just going to let the water clear. Added the Biospira and some Microbacter7 today, hoping to add the percularis clown trio tomorrow. Copper really likes looking at the tank.

Clearing up nicely. Moved over a couple hermits and the percularis clownfish trio. The helfrichi firefish pair won't move over until the screen lid is built.

Update 4/4/22: picking up a new heater today, we were using a spare 300W eheim but it is WAY too much heater for this tank.

Couple pics from last night. Can't wait to get some more of the corals moved over, but going to let things settle for another day or 2 first.

Moved a bunch of LPS, the rock flowers, and a photosynthetic gorgonian over today. I'll post pics once everything clears up from me screwing around in the tank.

Couple pics from today. Moved over a few different Favia, Favites, and Platygyra, a few chalices, a kenya tree, a photosynthetic gorg, and the RFAs. Still have to figure out placement. Everything seems to be doing fine so far.
