I have flame angel fish in QT for 2 weeks now, since i got it it swims and eats fine, there are some minor white tiny spot (or may not be) becaz it wasn't that much, i was going to get another fish and start QT with CP, but this morning i saw the fish swim very slow and on the surface and i could touch him and it won't care. Its been a 6 days in that water on QT (18gal) I was going to change water today anyway.

I checked ammonia to 0.2 and nitrate to 2

one thing to note is it seem my kid put a lot of food yesterday, and i did not do anything about it since my water change was today.

What could've happen and how can i save it.

its eyes are also bit cloudy, and color bit faded.

please give me a feedback to save this fish. thanks in advance.

I did for 1 min fw dip, should i do more than one time?

Would metroplex medication help for flukes?
Metro would not work for flukes. U need prazipro or genereal cure in his food. Its probably to late to do anything now. He will unfortunately imo die

Do you have enough flow (oxygen)?
It looks like a parasite If you did a FW dip and there were no flukes that seems unlikely (unless he got dramatically better).
Have you considered copper?

But there are disease experts here #reefsquad that are very helpful with this kind of thing.

I personally would stop doing stuff. His fins look like ammonia burn and your tank looks very sterile to point in that direction. How long has the QT been setup and what are you using in terms of bio filtration? Adding meds at this point is going to just finish the job.

Oxygen and ammonia detoxifier would probably be your best bet at this point .
Don’t use this if copper is present in the water, as it’ll turn toxic.

I do agree the behavior you describe is common of dwarf angels low on oxygen. They have high oxygen demands. A bubbler and powerhead breaking the surface will help.

Ammonia will also cloud the eyes, as can eye infections - particularly common after velvet which is also running rampant right now. This would also damage the gills requiring even more oxygen.

I would start CP. I can't say for 100% certain that velvet is present. Alot of markers, including some very faint white spots.
