So I have had this coral for about 2 weeks now and has been great and opens right up.

Only change over last week have been increasing magnesium 2 days ago and alk but slowly. Also have reduced my lighting from 50% to 30% intensity due to diatoms.

My magnesium was at 1200 and wanted to up to 1300-1350 spaced over 5 days. However after 2 days I decided to test my levels are now at 1440 only after 2 x dosage. I aslo DOESED half of what my LFS told me to do.

Other parameters are
ALK 7.7 increasing 0.1 every 2 days slowly was at 6.8.
Salinity 1.025 stable
Calcium 460
Phosphate 0 03
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 5
Temp 25.5deg

Yeah I love it u like the wife. When it was opened and extended like it was it looked amazing. Its a shame as its already to big for my tank when extended.

That's one gorgeous and fuzzy leather....ya she's ticked of late (how dare you lol) , but wouldn't think it's the lighting.....they usually like it around your nitrate level, as well....
Mag is a bit low but nothing that should really affect her.....hmmm....oh wait, I see Mag is now in the wheelhouse....

I think she's just saying 'hang on not so fast with me fella!' ;)

Haha yeah was thinking magnesium increased to quickly. As said i dosed half what was recommended by LFS LUCKLY.

Nitrate is always stable at 2-5

So it appeared tat it was just shedding and noticed think layers floating or hanging off. Have it a bit of a blast and wow within 30 mins polyps were appearing. Looks like it's been on the bounce.
