My 220 came with 2 3/4” intake bulkheads and 2 1” returns. I have 2 apex for 2.0 pumps. Currently running all 3/4 pipe from pump to tank. Would like to go to 1 1/2” pipe. Would it be worth it or would it be a waste because I have to reduce it down to 3/4” at the bulkheads?

3/4 bulkhead fitting will act as a restriction. So some increase, but not full efficiency

220? who is the mfg ? just curious ... BTW isn’t the 3/4” for returns and 1”for intake or is it a semantics mix up? .... Either way I’d use 3/4” for pressurized water and 1” intake ...
I’ve only used 1” for those external little giant pumps, et
